To the entire Guru community:

It's with a heavy heart that I must inform you that this site, Guild Wars Guru, will be shutting down on July 1st and will remain in Archive Mode. Over the past 11 years, we've become, and continued to remain, the #1 fansite for Guild Wars, and it's all because to you guys. Without such a strong and passionate community, Guru would have never made it this far and so we thank you for that.

And while we will be saying good-bye to our home here, we will continue to host forums for the GW community over at our sister site, Guild Wars 2 Guru. In fact, you are more than welcome to head on over now and begin posting. If you have any threads you'd like to transfer over, now would be the time.

So once again thank you, and especially those that contributed their time and knowledge to make Guru the amazing place it was. We'll see you over at Guild Wars 2 Guru!

Profession: E/Me	make better events. how come anet only makes the same old event every week double this double that double xp for this blah blah cant they make cool events like this? hide and seek:every player in a particular town gets a message that they have to find the gm thats hiding the first 150 people to find him/her gets a rare item. test your knowledge:a message pops up on the screen asking a history question or any other subject players have to answer it on local chat the first person gets lots of gold and a rare item. these are just some events that i've gotten from another mmorpg that were really fun and im thinking anet can do the same thing to liven up the community and stop the hordes of people that just stand around doing nothing in all the towns.
